Former “Paradise Hotel” Participant Hospitalized with Meningitis: Tea Kristine Broholm Shares Update

About two weeks ago, the former “Paradise Hotel” participant Tea Kristine Broholm (24) shared on Instagram that she was hospitalized.

Broholm explained to Dagbladet that the reason for the hospitalization is meningitis.

– I have been, so to speak, bedridden for the past few days, the 24-year-old told and added:

– I feel a little better now, after some treatment for a spinal headache that came on top of it all. Now I have finally got back on my feet with a little help.

Now Broholm shares a new update after the post on Instagram’s story function.

In the update, Broholm explains that she was first sent by ambulance to St. Olav’s Hospital at the end of June, after an intense headache that meant she could neither “call for help nor get up on her own”. But she was quickly discharged from the hospital.

– Felt so stupid

“Over the course of the evening, the headache returned in full force and I also started to get a fever. I was taken to the hospital, and during the night a CT and spinal cord test was taken, which showed meningitis,” she continues.

“It only got worse and I was in excruciating pain for several days,” adds Broholm and says that she was sent home from the hospital on Sunday 2 July. Then she “still felt very bad”.

Rushed to hospital

“I have to take it easy, which I’m not used to! Then I have a really bad conscience towards Matheo, who I would have loved to have been out with, played and eaten together in the nice summer weather. Instead, I have to stay inside and just try to slowly and calmly get back to normal again.”

Broholm tells Dagbladet that she is on the road to recovery.

– I’m recovering a little slowly, but surely every day now. I just have to take it very easy.

Broholm found love with Fredrik Norum (24) when they were both participants in “Paradise Hotel” in 2019. They have since had their son Matheo together, and got engaged.

– It will be luxury

– Life is really good now. We have a great time together and I think it’s absolutely wonderful to be a mother. You learn what life is really worth, she could tell the Reality Awards last summer.
