Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot in the leg. Supporters of him claim it is an attempted murder.

The 70-year-old must have been quickly transported away from the scene, according to a Sky News producer who was in attendance. According to local media, other people were also injured.
The former cricket star served as Pakistan’s prime minister from 2018 to April this year. Khan had to resign after a vote of no confidence in the National Assembly.
No Pakistani prime minister has ever completed a five-year term, but Khan was the first to lose his job by a vote of no confidence.
Last month, the Pakistani Electoral Commission excluded Khan from the National Assembly following allegations that he had kept quiet about the gifts he had received. The Electoral Commission also decided to ban Khan from running for elections for five years.
Shehbaz Sharif was elected as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan after Khan was forced to resign.
