Former NFL professional Kasim Edebali becomes a football expert at ProSieben and ran.de. The 33-year-old will accompany the games of the European League of Football (ELF) from the new season. Edebali will be presented by ProSiebenSat.1 on Tuesday. The former defense end was himself active in the ELF for the Hamburg Sea Devils last season. After the season he announced his retirement. During his career he also played in the North American professional league NFL. In the expert team, Edebali will meet former Sea Devils head coach Andreas Nommensen, among others.
ProSieben expands reporting on the third ELF season. Most recently, the broadcaster lost the media rights for the NFL to RTL. From June 4, ProSieben MAXX will show 30 games of the European league live. Two games per game day are broadcast on every Sunday. The finale on September 24 in Duisburg will be shown live on ProSieben for the first time. According to the broadcasting group, there will be one more game per game day in the live stream on ran.de on Saturdays, and all games of the season will be presented live on Joyn PLUS+.
17 teams from nine countries have registered for the season. The German teams are the Berlin Thunder, the Cologne Centurions, the Hamburg Sea Devils, the Frankfurt Galaxy, the Leipzig Kings, Rhein Fire and the Stuttgart Surge as well as the newcomer Munich Ravens. The defending champions are the Vienna Vikings.
