Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has officially announced his candidacy for the Democratic primary in Alabama.
The billionaire has not officially announced that he is running for the 2020 presidential race, but has mentioned that he is thinking about it.
Despite everything, this candidacy allows him to keep all options open when it comes to a possible attempt to represent the party against Donald Trump next year.
Michael Bloomberg is also a former Republican who joined the Democratic Party a year ago. At 77, he had yet announced in March that he was giving up running so as not to undermine Joe Biden’s chances of winning the nomination for the party.
This change of course for Bloomberg therefore seems to prove that he questions the chances of victory of the one Donald Trump nicknamed “Sleepy Joe” …
