Former NBA player Chris Bosh says he had offers from Europe: guess where

Chris Bosh was one of several NBA stars who took part in Goran Dragic’s farewell game on Saturday. Under the name ‘Night of the Dragon’, the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana was the stage for the tribute to the Slovenian point guard, who was accompanied, in addition to Bosh, by other NBA players such as Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Bojan Bogdanovic, Nikola Vucevic, Robin Lopez, Steve Nash and Boban Marjanovic. The Argentine Luis Scola also attended.

The game ended with a 108-86 victory for Dragic’s team, who also had the best score of the match with 21 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals. Dragic, 38, thus put an end to a 16-year career in the NBA, where he played for seven teams. He was also instrumental in Slovenia winning gold at the 2017 European Championship.

For Bosh, it was his first game since his retirement due to health problems in 2016. The center had to stop due to a thromboembolism, although what ultimately decided his retirement was the desire to spend more time with his family. Yesterday, in Ljubljana, Bosh revealed that he had had offers to continue his career in Europe. “Actually, at that time I had offers from Europe, but it was time to leave. I didn’t want to move my family around,” explained the eleven-time NBA All-Star.

Bosh even pointed out the origin of the offers. “They were from a couple of Euroleague teams and no, they didn’t come to me from Greece. They were from Spain and France,” he said.
