“I want to clean the house and get rid of things in order to introduce something new in my life with the money I earn. All the more so because my family members do not show any interest in my collection of dishes,” Tatjana explains to the publication “Privatā Dzīve” the reason why she decided to get rid of her collection of dishes.
Both local and foreign collectors are interested in Kargin dishes.
She explains that there are no plans to sell her entire collection, a large part of which consists of high-quality porcelain and crystal, but there are many beautiful things that she will say goodbye to without remorse.
For many years, Tatjana has lived in a private house in Old Riga, which came into her possession after her divorce from Valery Kargin. Coping with the household, because both sons help, and there is also income from the sale of some valuable paintings.
As she admits to the publication, the income from selling dishes is also a good reflection. “You can’t give up, in business you always have to change something, because today the market situation is very volatile,” says Kargina.
