The former MP from “We continue the change” Veliko Minkov announced on his Facebook profile that he is the biological father of the 4-month-old baby of the person arrested for the murder of her husband Peyo Peev in Sofia – Gabriela Slavova.
“I have reason and I am sure that I am the biological father of the 4-month-old Christian, born to Gabriela Slavova, who is accused of murdering her husband Peyo Peev“, wrote the 32-year-old programmer, who was elected as a member of parliament from MIR Ruse in the extraordinary parliamentary elections in November 2021, but after voting for the government resigned and left the National Assembly.
33-year-old Gabriela Slavova-Peeva, head of a department in the Municipality of Burgas, and her 54-year-old mother Krasimira Trifonova, who is a career diplomat and former consul of Bulgaria in Thailand, were detained and charged with the intentional murder of the 44-year-old husband of the young woman – Peyo Peev. The cruel crime was committed on December 18 in a car in front of the block where the mother and daughter live in the capital’s “Izgrev” district.
According to the investigators, it was a misunderstanding between the spouses about who is the father of the 4-month-old Christian that caused Peyo’s murder.
Minkov also published a statement by his lawyer, Plamen Borisov, to “stop the flow of fake news”.
The lawyer explains that by virtue of the presumption of paternity, the late Peyo Peev became Christian’s father, due to his capacity as the husband of the mother, Gabriela Slavova.
Lawyer Borisov reports that Veliko Minkov has filed civil case No. 1568/2023. to establish the origin of his son Christian before the Burgas District Court.
“The claim was filed even before the child was born, after Mr. Minkov, in his attempt to recognize the child, realized that the recognition could not be recognized because days before the submission of the declaration of recognition, the child’s mother had concluded civil marriage with (now deceased) Mr. Peyo Peev, with whom he has another older child.Unfortunately, the legal proceedings to dispute the parentage of Mr. Peev’s child and to recognize Mr. Minkov as the father are proceeding inappropriately slowly , relative to social necessity. As a result, Mr. Minkov cannot take care of his son until he is recognized by the state as his father,” adds the lawyer.
Veliko Minkov himself adds that there is a possibility that things will get complicated with the filed civil case.
“And the impossibility of my son not just being raised by me, but also having any contact with me at all,” wrote the former MP from PP.
At a closed session on Monday evening, the Sofia City Court left Krasimira Trifonova in custody permanently, but Gabriela Slavova was released under house arrest. The young woman will also wear an electronic tracking bracelet.
The investigation into the crime committed by them is in the initial stage, but it has been established that the mother and daughter took the life of 44-year-old Peyo in his car, which was parked in front of their apartment block on “Elemag” Street. The man was sitting in the driver’s seat of the car, and from the back seat his 54-year-old mother-in-law Krasimira was holding his neck, while his 33-year-old wife pressed him to the seat and closed the driver’s door when he tried to get out of the car. According to the preliminary conclusion of a forensic medical expert, the death of the 44-year-old man occurred as a result of strangulation.
According to unofficial information, before he was strangled, Peyo was doused with gasoline, the purpose of which was to make it look as if he had set himself on fire. However, the mother and daughter did not foresee that there were cameras on the street that showed how they were pouring it. After the man died, the women began to wonder how to hide the body. It is believed that two men – their friends – helped them with this. The four drove the car with Peyo’s body to the area of the Aleko hut.
