Ergezen, who was born on December 2, 1949 in the Ahlat district of Bitlis, Ankara He graduated from the Architecture Department of the State Engineering and Architecture Academy. Ergezen, who served as the Provincial Directorate of Public Works in Bitlis and Muş, as the Head of the Construction Department in the General Directorate of Rural Services and the Head of the Construction Real Estate Department at the General Directorate of Security, was among the Founding Members of the Justice and Development Party.

Ergezen, who served as a Deputy of Bitlis for the 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd terms of the TBMM, was elected as a Clerk Member of the Presidential Board of the TBMM in the 20th term.
