Former Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram Chosen as Member of World Federation for Mental Health

Ambassador Nabila Makram, the former Minister of Immigration, announced that she was chosen the day before yesterday as a member of the World Federation for Mental Health.

She added, during her interview with the “Nazra” program, presented by the journalist Hamdi Rizk, and the broadcaster on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, on Thursday evening, that the World Federation for Mental Health is a non-governmental organization that is concerned with raising awareness of mental health, and looking with interest for all who suffer from mental illness and ways treatment.

And she added that the organization is examining the different experiences between countries with regard to dealing with mental health issues, stressing that its selection as a member of the union is a step and a new dimension added to the “Fahim” institution for psychological support that it founded.

She stated that her membership in the union would contribute to informing her of the various global experiences, explaining that the ordeal she is going through made her know the wisdom of God Almighty in her choice of this trial.

She said that the ordeal, affliction, and personal experience prompted her to focus on working within the Fahem Foundation, stressing that she is trying not to be exposed to what she is going through, nor is a son or daughter exposed to what her son is going through.

It is noteworthy that Ambassador Nabila Makram, the former Minister of Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, announced her selection as a member of the World Federation for Mental Health.

Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, launched the “Fahim” Foundation for psychological support, in the presence of a number of ministers, members of Parliament and senior officials.

It aims to support children and youth to face their psychological problems, and to detect their mental illness early.
