These are the first to be investigated because the prosecutors also requested that María Elena Borda, former head of the Preventive Medicine Service at Hospital Posadas, and Alejandro Costa, former undersecretary of Health Strategies at the Ministry of Health, be summoned. The accusation is for the crimes of abuse of authority and embezzlement of property. “The theft occurred when the vaccines were no longer available at the Posadas Hospital to meet the state objective set for those doses, which only included the inoculation of “Health Personnel” and eventually strategic personnel,” prosecutors said when in Last May they requested the investigations.

But the Federal Chamber revoked that decision at the request of the PIA and ordered that the investigation continue to establish how and why those who received the doses when it was not appropriate reached this situation within the Posadas Hospital and the Ministry of Health. “It will be necessary to investigate -following the scheme that the case drew up after the decision reviewed here- which people were vaccinated according to the standards imposed by the Vaccination Plan and who went ahead for some benefit that was unique to them,” said the court that qualified the coronavirus vaccine as “a rare commodity”.
Thus, the case was delegated to the prosecutors Taiano and Rodríguez, who requested the investigations last May. The prosecutors’ accusation is for three facts.
