The winners of the elections must propose a formula that would structure a Euro-Atlantic majority. This way it will be seen which party will have the will to govern. This was commented on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria” by Nadezhda Neinski, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former ambassador to Turkey.
“I think that this time it should be tried in the opposite way – namely to answer the question of whether there is a Euro-Atlantic majority. In the European Parliament, a majority is first sought, and then a committee is broadcast, not to form a government and look for who will support it”, explained Neinski.
According to her, there are two options – to have a clear or unclear majority. I believe that the great responsibility lies with the former – to propose a formula that would structure a Euro-Atlantic majority.
According to her, there is no way Bulgaria can hold elections continuously. “The inability or unwillingness to structure a majority that would produce a stable government leads to a radical vote that we see increasing. “Vazrazhdane” is raising its results, ITN is back in the game, and by adding BSP we see that there is another majority”, explained Neynski.
FINAL RESULTS: GERB-SDS wins the vote with a minimal lead over PP-DB
She explained that the topics of Schengen, the Eurozone and judicial reform should be clearly spelled out in order to see which party stands where.
“The devil is buried in the details of the specific commitments that Bulgaria must undertake. The crisis in the trust of our partners towards Bulgaria is obvious”, added the former Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to her, a split in the PP-DB coalition would lead to a more serious deepening of the crisis.
“Neither the first nor the second will have it easy. The idea of a minority government is creeping in. According to parliamentary logic, however, every minority government is elected by a majority. The ice on which political leaders must walk is thin. The situation is deadlocked. If I am in the position of the second, I will start from the program and write down the main priorities in detail”, commented Nadezhda Neinski.
Regarding corruption in our country, she stated that it exists everywhere in the world, but the difference is in the tolerance of different countries.
