Former Minister of Agriculture Threatens and Extorts Director General – Shocking Revelations at Jakarta Court

Director General of Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture), Nasrullah, admitted that he had been threatened and forced to do so by the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL). Nasrullah said that the threat came because he was considered late in handing over the deposit to SYL.

This was expressed by Nasrullah in the trial of the case of extortion and satisfaction within the Ministry of Agriculture with the defendants Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Muhammad Hatta, and Kasdi Subagyono, at the Jakarta Central District Court, Monday (13/ 5/2024). Initially, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor questioned Nasrullah’s motives for complying with SYL’s request.

Nasrullah admitted that he was only trying to fulfill SYL’s orders. Nasrullah said that he could be considered rude if he did not comply with these orders.

“Is there something like that, sir, have you ever had legal language where your performance was not as expected. For example, the order was not in accordance with the amount. Did you say something ?At that time, was there a direct warning?” ” asked the prosecutor.

“Nothing, because it might be thought that I contributed,” replied Nasrulah.

The prosecutor then read Nasrullah’s BAP. In the BAP, it is reported that Nasrullah was threatened and forced because he did not obey orders.

“With Your Excellency’s permission, I read the witness’s BAP on page 31, ‘I received threats and coercion from SYL indirectly when I was the Director General of Animal Husbandry, because I was often late or I didn’t follow orders completely to meet my needs. non-budgetary‘,” said the prosecutor.

“‘ As far as I remember, it happened around July 2022, when SYL echelon I gathered at the Ministry and then in the guest transfer room of the Ministry of Agriculture building. angry tone as you said ‘you are not faithful enough’.

In the BAP, Nasrullah said he was only silent when SYL pointed at him. After the incident, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono then called Nasrullah.

“Kasdi told me that the incident when I was appointed by SYL was a source of anger for me because I was considered less loyal. I understand that lack of loyalty means that I often late in meeting non-budgetary needs,” said the prosecutor. , reading BAP Nasrulah.

Furthermore, in the BAP, Nasrullah explained that SYL always said that it was asked to evaluate disobedient parties. Nasrullah said SYL then asked Kasdi to assess the situation.

“‘In several communications between Kasdi and me when I was collecting deposits for operating funds for the needs of SYL, that person told me to deposit the fees quickly according to the distribution sent on the Director General. he said, “Lord, the Minister is angry with you. because you are always late in investing the government’s money for him.” Is this true, brother?” asked the prosecutor.

“Yes,” replied Nasrullah.

For information, SYL was accused of accepting extortion and receiving free gifts worth IDR 44.5 billion. He was charged along with two of his subordinates, namely the non-functioning General Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi and the non-functioning Director of the Ministry of Agriculture M Hatta. Kasdi and Hatta were tried in separate case files.
