Former Mercenary Charged with Violating Border Regulations and Justifying Terrorism

The former mercenary will be charged with violating border regulations. Martins Marums, operational manager of the Finmark police station, emphasized that the arrest took place without incident.

Accused of justifying terrorism and “discrediting” the army, Olesya Krivtsova, who fled Russia and lives in Norway, said that she recently met Medvedev and he asked to take her to the Russian border.

In May, Medvedev announced that he plans to end the political asylum procedure in Norway and return to his homeland. He gave this information to Vladimir Osechkin, the founder of Gulag.net. “In general, we’ll see how it goes in Russia. If they [mani] will kill – well, if not – thank you very much. Let me live – even more thanks,” he said.

In July 2022, Andrei Medvedev signed a contract with “Wagner”, where he became the commander of the unit. After the expiration of the contract, the management of the unit refused to release him and he was “put in the pit”. Medvedev escaped from custody and returned to Russian territory.

In January 2023, it became known that Medvedev managed to escape to Norway, where he requested political asylum. There he told that there is a special unit in the “Wagner” group, which is responsible for killing Ukrainians who refused, deserters and captured. According to him, Ukrainian prisoner Yevhen Nyuzhin also fought under his leadership, who was allegedly executed after returning from captivity.

Medvedev was detained several times in Norway. In Oslo, a criminal case was opened against him for fights and clashes with policemen during detention. He was eventually acquitted of assaulting a police officer, but was given a suspended sentence for disorderly conduct and carrying a traumatic weapon in a public place.
