JAKARTA (RIAUPOS.CO) – Samsung has reportedly recruited a former Mercedes-Benz designer. This was broadcast directly by Samsung in their official newsroom and announced that the MX Design Team will now be led by Hubert H. Lee.
Lee will be responsible for EVP and lead the MX (Mobile eXperience) design team at Samsung. As mentioned above, Lee previously served as Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz China and brings two decades of design and leadership experience to the German automaker.
“His unique and visionary perspective will help shape the look of the Galaxy, establishing a distinct design ethos that users know and love,” Samsung wrote in a statement.

Now, in his new role at Samsung, Lee will take over the MX Design Team, which is responsible for designing Galaxy products such as the Galaxy S and Z series, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Watch and other devices.
As mentioned in the official post, Hubert H. Lee’s guidance will help give a new look to Galaxy products. Including, Lee is trusted to build a strong work ethic, which is loved by millions around the world.
“I am thrilled to join a company that is at the forefront of mobile innovation and leads a team responsible for creating new mobile experiences through the art of design,” Lee said of his new role at Samsung.
During his work at Mercedes-Benz, Lee is known to have led the design project of the second generation CLS series since 2012. He is known to often draw inspiration from the design of the G-Class but give it a futuristic edge.
