Former members of his band, led by pianist Mike Garson, and figures such as Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Perry Farrell, Adam Lambert and Duran Duran, among others, will be part of the streaming concert that will take place this Friday, January 8, to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the birth of David Bowie.
“Just For One Day” is the name of the show that also brings together actor Gary Oldman, singer Macy Gray, The Cult vocalist Ian Astbury, The Rolling Stones backup singer Bernard Fowler and a super band made up of Corey Taylor, from Slipknot; Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters; and Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction.
Other musicians who made up the honoree’s accompanying band, such as bassist Gail Ann Dorsey, and famous producer Tony Visconti, will also be part of the game.
The celebration will also take place two days after the five-year anniversary of the iconic British artist’s death.
The shows will take place from different stages, tickets can be purchased through the RollingLiveStudios.com page and the concert will remain in on-demand mode for 24 hours.
