The former mayor of Sabadell Giulia Fernandez will be the new adviser del Territorio in the remodeled Govern de Pere Aragonès starting this Monday, the regional executive reported. This advice fell until a few days ago in the vice president Jordi Puigneró.
With a degree in Pharmacy and a Masters in Pharmaceutical Marketing from EADA, Fernández (Sabadell, 1977) was Mayor of Sabadell from 2015 to 2017 and then he was deputy mayor, while from 2018 to 2021 he was government delegate in Barcelona.

His political career began in 2000 when he began serving in the ERC and ERC youth academies. Subsequently (2007-11), and before assuming control of Sabadell, he was general manager of the Joventut de la Generalitat, first as director of the joint stock company Youth tourism of Catalonia and later as director of the Catalan Youth Agency. Today he is deputy secretary general for institutional coordination in Esquerra.
On a personal level he is a member of the Sabadell castellers and for many years he was a women’s basketball coach at the Club Esportiu Escola del Carme.
