Former Manchester United Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar Transferred to Hospital in the Netherlands After Brain Haemorrhage

The wife of former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar confirmed on Saturday that he had been transferred to a hospital in the Netherlands, but remains in intensive care after suffering a brain haemorrhage last week.

Van der Sar, 52, who was hospitalized while on holiday in Croatia, will remain in the intensive care unit but is in a stable condition, not serious.

His wife Annemarie said: Edwin returned home on Friday evening and is now in the intensive care unit at a Dutch hospital.

Regarding the case of the former Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper and manager, she added: The situation is as it is, stable, there is no threat to life and he can communicate.

The Van der Sar family would like to express their deep gratitude to the hospital.
