Actor Shin Hyun-jun’s former manager, Kim Mo, refuted Shin Hyun-joon’s allegations that the controversy over Gap and the allegations of propofol medication were false.
On the 22nd, Mr. Kim announced his position through his legal representative, Apro, and said, “The prosecution has concluded the case without charge in connection with the controversy over (Shin Hyun-jun’s) and the administration of propofol that he (Kim) raised. While claiming that the content of the disclosure I raised is false, it reveals that this is not true.”
Mr. Kim said, “I have not asked an investigative agency to investigate the controversy against Shin Hyun-jun. Therefore, the argument of Shin Hyun-joon to the effect that the controversy against Shin Hyun-jun turned out to be not true is not true.” Explained.
“However, among the clarifications released by Mr. Shin Hyun-joon regarding the controversy about Gap-jil, there were several false facts that could damage his own reputation, and the investigation agency raised the issue. He said, “I have only made a decision not to charge because it is difficult to say that it is the content or that it was announced in the process of refuting the contents of my interview.”
Mr. Kim also claimed that there was a situation where Shin Hyun-jun was taking propofol. “In the past, there have been issues with regard to Shin Hyun-jun’s administration of propofol, but the complaint has been rejected because the statute of limitations has already passed.” Separately, the case I requested for the investigation was whether the explanation of Hyun-Jun Shin who said that he had introduced the hospital to Hyun-Jun Shin was false, even though he had not introduced the hospital where he received Propofol medication. In response to this, the investigative agency has only made a decision not to charge Shin Hyun-jun because it is difficult to see that the expression’introduced’ is an expression that could damage his own reputation.’
Mr. Kim said, “After (I) revealed that he had been unfairly treated by Shin Hyun-jun in the past, several people who were working with or related to Shin Hyun-jun sympathized with Shin Hyun-joon, and through a media interview, he received the salary of a junior road manager from Shin Hyun-jun. I have defamed my own honor by stating that I did not pay after receiving the program or made a fraudulent act of not returning the investment after recruiting investors under the pretense of being a manager of Shin Hyun-jun. “In this regard, the prosecutors acknowledged their claims as facts and prosecuted Mr. A for defamation due to false facts in a timely manner, and regarding Mr. B, the police sent a complaint to the prosecution for insults. Bar, and for other related persons, we inform you that the police investigation is underway.”
Lastly, Mr. Kim said, “Shin Hyun-jun has sued the prosecution for defamation on the grounds that the contents of his disclosure are false, so I will inform you that he will restate his position after the results of the prosecution’s investigation in the future.”
Earlier in July of last year, Mr. Kim, former manager of Shin Hyun-jun, claimed that he had been treated unfairly by Shin Hyun-jun for 13 years after establishing a relationship with Shin Hyun-jun in 1994. At that time, Mr. Kim complained of damage to Shin Hyun-jun’s mother’s petty errands, as well as low salaries and swear words. Accordingly, Shin Hyun-joon’s side took a stand against the allegation.
In August of that year, Kim also submitted a complaint to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, stating that “Shin Hyun-jun has illegally administered Propofol in 2010.” In response, Shin Hyun-jun said, “The suspicion of taking propofol is also unfounded,” and refuted that “a matter that was discovered 10 years ago by the prosecution for legitimate treatment purposes and passed without a formal investigation at the time.”
Since then, the charges against Shin Hyun-joon related to propofol were rejected, and Shin Hyun-joon’s agency announced that it had sued Kim for defamation of the false information.
On November 12 last year, Shin Hyun-joon announced through Pyeongan, a legal representative, that “the case in which Mr. Kim sued me for’gap-jil’ was unconvicted by the North Seoul District Prosecutors’ Office on November 9th.” Also, “As already known, on July 27th, the Gangnam Police Department immediately rejected the accusation for the case that Mr. Kim accused me of the so-called propofol suspicion that no illegal facts could be confirmed.” It was revealed through the investigation that all of the contents exposed while claiming to be, GapJil, etc. are not at all true.”
Shin Hyun-jun added, “In this regard, I am suing Mr. Kim’s defamation activity, and an investigation is underway, and I will continue to hold all responsibilities under the law seriously.”
