Former Malmö FF Chief Scout Robin Asterhed Joins Lillestrøm SK as New Assistant Coach

In early December, Malmö FF hired the former Örgryte coach Jeffrey Aubynn as the new head scout. The announcement in the same vein was that the sporting management would be restructured, which meant that Robin Asterhed – who was previously just the chief scout – was given the role of methodology manager.

But now the 36-year-old is moving on in his career. And he leaves the sky blue.

On Monday, Nettavisen publishes a picture of Asterhed, who is in place at Norwegian Lillestrøm SK’s premiere training. According to the site, he is ready as the new assistant coach to head coach Andreas Georgson.

MFF has confirmed the news:

“Now it is clear that Asterhed is leaving for Lilleström where he will be reunited with former MFF coach Andreas Georgson. Thank you for your time in MFF!”, the club writes on its website.

Georgson, then in the capacity of sports manager, was the one who took Asterhed to MFF from IFK Värnamo ahead of the 2022 season. The duo then worked closely together for a year before the former was pushed from his position at the beginning of 2023.
