Former KPK Investigator Exposes Massive Transactions Involving Anti-Corruption Agency

Jakarta

The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) highlighted a Rp. 300 billion transaction involving former investigators KPK named Tri Suhartanto as revealed by Novel Baswedan. MAKI believes these transactions are just a few of the many transactions with fantastic amounts that have been revealed.

“I’m sure only a few of these have been revealed, there are others, even in my opinion it’s just an iceberg where it was revealed that there were former investigators, for example transactions of Rp. 300 billion as revealed by Novel. That’s just the level of the iceberg,” said the MAKI Coordinator, Boyamin Saiman to journalists, Monday (3/7/2023).

Boyamin assesses that the KPK is now like murky water. He is not surprised if there are former KPK employees who have problems because the KPK leaders also have problems.

“Why? It’s suspected that many others feel safe because being in a leadership position is also problematic. Like Mrs. Lili, who was even suspected of gratuities of all kinds. So feeling safe now is the term for swimming in murky water, so it will be comfortable to do mischief. So it’s like fish and sharks swimming in murky water who are sure that even if they’re naughty they won’t be picked up because the water is already murky,” he said.

“KPK is no longer like before with clear water, now the water is cloudy, mixed with mud, exposed to oil, so automatically those who are naughty will be more free, those who are a little naughty will be more naughty and then some of the good ones will also be naughty. both those who maintain their integrity become apathetic and make them work just to carry out their duties, there is no improvisation to create added value to the KPK,” he continued.

According to Boyamin, the morale of the anti-racial institution has eroded. This caused the internal problems of the KPK to not be completely handled.

“So this is indeed in a position where the term moral decadence has returned to occur at the KPK. Plus the settlement of cases that have never been completed, so this has caused the damage to spread everywhere to further undermine the KPK,” he said.

He gave an example of the alleged gratification case at the KPK to the problem of alleged data leakage. The KPK Board of Trustees is considered not to be serious in dealing with this issue.

“For example, a helicopter that was not completed. Mrs. Lili who was subject to gratuities was allowed to resign. Yesterday, when she suspected that there was a leak of Dewas documents, she did not dare to take it seriously. Meanwhile, at Polda Metro, it was upgraded to an investigation. This later became something called taking the KPK hostage to clean up. This is because they are holding each other hostage,” he added.

The issue of Rp 300 billion in transactions involving former KPK investigators was first revealed by Novel Baswedan. The former senior investigator considered the transaction illogical.
