Former Juventus and Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar, 52, suffered a brain haemorrhage. He is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit and is in stable condition. This was communicated by Ajax, a club in which he played and of which he became general manager after his farewell to football. Our thoughts are with you.” The former goalkeeper was on holiday in Split when he fell ill.
On Friday, Edwin van der Sar has had a bleeding around his brain. He’s currently in hospital in the intensive care unit and is in a stable condition.

Van der Sar in his football career won a Champions League (in the final against Milan), a UEFA Cup, a European Super Cup and an Intercontinental Cup with Ajax and a Champions League and a Club World Cup with Manchester United. He also boasts four titles in the Dutch league and as many in the Premier League. With the Dutch national team he collected 130 appearances. He moved from Ajax to Juventus in 1999, becoming the first foreign goalkeeper in the history of the Juventus club and played there for two unfortunate championships, with Carlo Ancelotti as coach. In his first season with Juve he also won an Intertoto Cup, in Serie A he failed to win the Scudetto, finishing in second place twice, behind Roma and Lazio.
