Former director of the Military Intelligence Service Plamen Studenkov and his deputy Stefan Dyankov Stefanov were interrogated today because of the Russian spy scandal, announced Zonanews. The second was developed along Russian lines back in 2001, suspected of being part of the group of former RUMNO officer Yani Yani and secret archives officer Lilyana Gesheva, who were accused of spying for Russia, but in a third instance in 2009. were acquitted and the evidence in the case disappeared between the various courts, which is a total scandal. And so a perfect development of the WRC from 2000-2001 against Russian espionage went to hell. The Lilyana Gesheva in question had an ambiguous relationship with Stefan Dyankov Stefanov, as well as with Yani Yanev, who died recently.
Today Plamen Studenkov and Stefan Stefanov were interrogated as
witnesses to the unprecedented investigation of the group of Russian spies,
installed in the Military Intelligence Service and the MoD. According to Zonanews, at least one was aware of the activities of the resident of the spy group Ivan Iliev, but did not take any action in this regard, SANS was not notified. Studenkov and Stefanov were respectively directors and deputy directors of the Military Information Service (now the Military Intelligence Service) until the summer of 2010.
