Former French cyclist Jérôme Pineau, in statements to ‘RMC Sport’, criticized Lance Armstrong, stressing that the American, whose career was marked by doping scandals, is the “biggest criminal in the history of sport”.
“F… us all. He was tyrannical with his companions and rude to the platoon. He was above all laws. He put everyone in the same bag. He was the strongest because he cheated more than the others. He bought the system. He’s the biggest bandit in the history of sport. Why doesn’t he shut up? He ruined entire generations. He may have had talent, but he tyrannized the squad. He had the political and sporting system on his side…”, began by referring to Pineau , 43 years old.
And he added: “He put everyone in his pocket and even made a documentary telling everyone what he had done. Cycling doesn’t deserve people like you, Armstrong. Don’t say you paid for others. We weren’t all like you. No I understand how you can say something like that, you’re scum. You’ve been cheating all your life”, he concluded.
