Former French Air Force General Warns of Terrible Winter for Ukrainians, Ukrainian Armed Forces Reach Dead End

A terrible winter awaits Ukrainians, French general and former head of the country’s Air Force General Staff Jean-Paul Palomero said on France 3 TV channel, RIA Novosti reports.

“At best, they will be able to defend their current positions. This is the best we can hope for,” he said.

Palomero argues that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a chance to achieve at least some success on the battlefield only if funding increases.

In early November, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny admitted in an interview with The Economist magazine that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reached a dead end and “there will be no deep and beautiful breakthrough.” According to him, he was unable to demonstrate the impressive pace of troop advance that was expected of him in the West according to NATO textbooks. The Kremlin noted that the sooner the Kiev regime understands that there is no chance of achieving success on the battlefield, the sooner some prospects will open up resolution of the situation.
