Ryan Giggs is in big trouble! The former Manchester United footballer is being prosecuted for alleged violence against two people, including his partner. The two assault charges relate to an incident on November 1, 2020 at Giggs’ home in Worsley, near Salford, with one of the two alleged victims being his partner at the material time. Arrested on the evening of the incident, the 47-year-old was released on bail and remains under judicial supervision.
A spokesperson for the British prosecution service said the one who has converted as a coach will appear before the Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on April 28. “We have authorized Greater Manchester Police to charge Ryan Giggs with controlling or coercive behavior and assault resulting in bodily harm.”, indicated the press release of the public prosecutor. “A charge of assault on a second woman has also been authorized”.
As a result of all this story, the Welsh federation decided to dismiss him. He will not make the Euro scheduled for this summer from June 11 to July 11 and will be replaced by Robert Page. He has already been acting since last November and will lead the selection for this great deadline. He will be assisted by Albert Stuivenberg. Wales will be in a group consisting of Switzerland, Turkey and Italy.
“I wish Robert Page, the coaching staff, players and supporters every success at the Euros this summer.”, explained Ryan Giggs. He added that he would not make any further comment as long as the case continued.
