Former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin Addresses Privacy in Twitter Message

– My private life has no social significance and it is unreasonable that it is still being written about in the press. I myself have not taken up my private affairs. Stop, please.

This is what Finland’s former Prime Minister Sanna Marin (37) writes in a Twitter message on Friday morning.

The Twitter message is as follows Evening newspaper a response to an article in the Finnish entertainment magazine Stopwho wrote about a man Marin is said to have been observed with.

In May, Marin explained on his own Instagramprofile that she and investor Markus Räikkönen, her husband of three years, went their separate ways.

– We are filing for divorce together. We are grateful for the 19 years we have had together, and for our beloved daughter, wrote Marin.

The couple had a daughter in 2018 and married in 2020 at the Prime Minister’s residence, Kesäranta.

In April, Marin lost the election against the liberal-conservative Samlingspartiet, led by leader Petteri Orpo.

A few days before handing in the government’s resignation, she also made it clear that she would not stand for re-election as leader of Finland’s Social Democratic Party.
