Colin Kazim-Richards has found a new club. The former Feyenoord attacker is going to play for it Derby County from Phillip Cocu. The attacker has signed a contract until the end of this season.
That makes Derby County through official channels known. The 34-year-old Kazim-Richards was transfer-free after his departure from the Mexican CF Pachuca. Derby County will be the sixteenth club for Kazim-Richards, who was also under contract with Feyenoord in the past.
The striker now returns to England, where he was last active in 2012/2013. Kazim-Richards must score goals for Cocu’s team. Derby County started the new season in the Championship moderately: three points were taken in four games.
Kazim-Richards has been training with the club for a while and managed to convince the lead. “Colin has a lot of experience, he has played in many different countries around the world. He offers us an extra option in the striker”, Cocu is satisfied. “He already trained with us and that gave us the opportunity to see how fit he was.”
