The former press secretary of Queen Elizabeth II has rejected allegations of racism in the royal family, noting that discriminatory treatment is prevalent mainly on social media.
Charles Enson, who worked for the Queen from 1990 to 1997, spoke on the subject after an interview with British actress Megan Mark, the wife of British Prince Harry, in which she accused the royal family of racism.
In an interview with US television star Opra Winfrey, Mark claimed that she had been denied help during the mental health crisis, that she had been slandered and that the royal family had talked and worried about the couple’s son’s skin color.
Mark refused to reveal who had such talks with Harry, as it would be very detrimental to them.
However, Ensons was convinced that racism did not occur in the royal family.
He said that such racism, in his opinion, is most active on social media.
Ensons also pointed out that members of the royal family have access to medical care at the castle, and these staff, as far as he can remember, are very responsive.
