Former driver took F1 GP director and her girlfriend to dinner before double femicide

In addition to confirming the double murder, Franz Dubois can see his situation further complicate. The reason is that the press in Belgium released, on Wednesday (18), other information about the femicide against his ex-wife, Nathalie Maillet, and his girlfriend, lawyer Ann Lawurence Durviaux last weekend.

At first, the double femicide would have happened after the ex-driver was taken by surprise and found the board of the Formula 1 Spa Francorchamps circuit, in Belgium, with a lover, who would be Ann. However, new analysis showed that the three dined together before the women were killed.

On the night of the crime, last August 14, the trio went to dinner in Bastogne, a Belgian city near Nathalie’s residence.

“All three were present”, said Grégory Bertholet, owner of the restaurant, to “Sud Presse”: “I actually talked to them. And at no time could we have predicted what was to come. They weren’t drunk when they left”.

To ‘Sud Presse’, Ann Lawrence’s brother Jean-Marc Durviaux said the event was organized by Franz to commemorate his birthday and Ann Lawrence’s, as well as his last wedding anniversary to Nathalie.

Another point raised by Jean-Marc was that the former couple was already in a divorce process and that Franz was already aware of the relationship between the two. With that, he understands that the crime “seems to have been planned”.

“Their relationship started in the spring [período que compreende entre março e junho]. They had explained things to Franz in July and he seemed to agree,” explained Jean-Marc.
