Fenerbahce Istanbul is loaning winger Emre Mor to city rivals Eyüpspor until the end of the season. The club, led by head coach Jose Mourinho, announced this on Friday on “X”.
Born in Denmark, the 15-time Turkish international was once considered a super talent in his home country and was even dubbed the “new Lionel Messi”. But after a lot of hype, the career of the now 27-year-old experienced a dramatic decline, at the latest since his departure from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
Via Celta Vigo, he then moved on to Galatasaray Istanbul, later he played for Olympiakus Piraeus and Karagümrük, until he finally joined his parent club Fenerbahce in the summer of 2022.
In 195 competitive matches so far, the winger has scored 19 goals and provided 19 assists, most of them in the Turkish Süper Lig.
