An attack was carried out on the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and one of the leaders of the Donbass separatists Oleg Tsarev. This was announced by a representative of the Russian-appointed “administration” of the annexed part of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov.
According to Rogov, Tsarev was shot. He is now in intensive care; Rogov assessed his condition as “very serious.”

In 2022, Tsarev visited Ukraine in absentia sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of encroaching on territorial integrity and calling for the overthrow of the state system due to his public statements in 2014. A case of collaboration is also being considered against him.
