Former Democratic Party leader Song Young-gil will voluntarily appear before the prosecution for the second time tomorrow regarding the suspicion of money envelopes at the party convention.

It is to re-emphasize the position to investigate yourself first, but it seems difficult to conduct an investigation this time as the prosecution said that there was no prior consultation.

When the suspicion of the Democratic National Convention’money envelope’ broke out, former Democratic Party representative Song Young-gil, who was staying in France, hurriedly returned home.

Former CEO Song voluntarily appeared before the prosecution to investigate himself, saying that the related investigation was a suppression of the opposition party and a political planning investigation.

However, the prosecution did not meet him, saying that it was not yet in the stage of investigation, and former CEO Song turned away.

Afterwards, a full-scale investigation began simultaneously with a full-scale search and seizure of the person involved in the suspicion of distributing money envelopes.

Kang Rae-gu, former head of the Korea Auditors Association, was arrested and put on trial, and lawmakers Yoon Kwan-seok and Lee Seong-man were also charged with arrest warrants.

While the prosecution’s investigation is progressing rapidly, former CEO Song once again expressed his intention to voluntarily appear.

Former CEO Song’s side is in the position that they will hold a press conference on the spot and hold a one-man demonstration if they try to meet with the prosecution and fail.

However, the prosecution drew a line again this time, saying that there was no discussion with former CEO Song and that there was no plan to investigate.

It is not yet the stage to summon former CEO Song.

Recently, the prosecution conducted a search and seizure of the National Assembly secretariat, secured access records to the headquarters and assembly hall of 29 members of the National Assembly, including former CEO Song, and identified the members who received the envelopes.

It is intended to cross-examine the movement of lawmakers suspected of receiving money envelopes with other objective data to sort out those who actually received them.

The timing of the summons has not yet been set, but the fight between the prosecution and former CEO Song is already heating up.
