Former D66 MP and former journalist Marijn de Koning passed away | Inland

De Koning was a member of the House of Representatives for D66 from 1994 to 1998. The party says it is “very grateful for her support”. “She has helped with the growth of our party and the spread of her ideas.”

De Koning, who was born in Brussels, worked as a journalist for Het Parool and NOS Journaal, among others. After her studies in sociology and law in Utrecht, she started her career in 1973 as a reporter for Het Parool. In 1978 she joined the NOS, as the first female reporter for the NOS Journaal. Among other things, she reported on the inauguration of Queen Beatrix in 1980, according to the NOS on the website.
