Today marks the 40th birthday of the former Croatian Dynamo midfielder, who also worked on the club’s coaching staff, Ognjen Vukojevic. On the occasion of the anniversary, the president of FC Dynamo (Kyiv) Igor Surkis congratulated the birthday boy.

You left a bright mark in the history of Dynamo Kyiv as a player who was always distinguished not only by his football skills, but also by his extraordinary character, intransigence, self-sacrifice for his partners and team, and leadership qualities. A player who was not afraid of anything and always entered the field with fire in his eyes and heart – this is about Ognen. From the first games in a Dynamo T-shirt, you made our fans fall in love with you, who immediately accepted you as one of their own. And over the years you spent at the club, you became our own, a real Dynamo player.
I believe that even on the difficult path of coaching, which you chose as your new profession after finishing your football career, you will achieve many heights and be proud of both your home country and Ukraine, which has become your second home.
