Osbaldo de Jesús Pesca Sandoval, former councilor of the city of Sogamoso, suffered an open fracture of the left kneecap and clavicle after an accident in the La Guafilla sector, in Yopal, this Sunday.
The accident happened when Pesca was traveling on a bicycle through the capital of Casanare and crashed into a tractor-trailer destined to transport oil.
As a result of the collision, the former councilor injured the knee of his left leg and his collarbone, for which he was transferred to the Orinoquia Regional Hospital, where he remains in medical care.
According to Boyacá Sie7e Días, Pesca Sandoval will undergo surgery for a comminuted fracture of the middle and distal third of the left patella and another operation for a fracture of the clavicle.
Osbaldo de Jesús Pesca Sandoval was a councilor for Sogamoso in the periods from 2016 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2023 for the ‘La U’ Party. He served as president of the municipal council in 2018.

Pesca did not run in last year’s elections, but her daughter, María Camila Pesca Chaparro, did for the Colombia Renaciente Party, who was elected for the 2024-2027 period and is currently the second vice president of the Sogamoso Council.
