Former collaborator of Osorio Chong is arrested; it’s about Enrique Pérez Romero

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) stopped Eleuterio Enrique Pérez Romero, one of the 19 former Federal Police officials wanted by the Federal Government.

According to information released by the López-Doriga Digital news portal, Perez Romero served as head of department in the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) and the then Federal Preventive Police (PFP).

Pérez Romero is indicated by the deviation of 2,500 million pesos and organized crime with the purpose of committing operations with resources of illicit origin, was reported on the news portal and is part of the list of 19 former officials wanted by the FGR.

In this case, the former Secretary of Citizen Security is also involved, Jesus Orta Martinez, indicated for allegedly having committed acts of corruption in his tenure as secretary general of the PFP from 2012 to 2014.

Although it circulates that Eleuterio Enrique Pérez Romero was arrested At the National Guard facilities, where he currently works, another version indicates that his arrest took place in the limits of Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

A joint operation was carried out between personnel of the National Guard and the Deputy Prosecutor for Specialized Investigation in Organized Crime (Seido), however there is no confirmed information about the latter.

It is worth mentioning that the capture of the former general secretaries of the Federal Police, Jesús Orta Martínez and Frida Martínez Zamora, was ordered, being she the ex-operator of the former Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong.
