Former child star Matthew Mindler, best known for his role in “Our Idiot Brother,” was found dead Saturday morning in Pennsylvania. The 19-year-old, who gave the answer to Paul Rudd is Zooey Deschanel in 2011, had been missing for several days. He was last seen on Tuesday, around 8 p.m., leaving his university residence in Millersville.
In a statement posted on social media on Saturday, the president of the university, Daniel Wubah, broke the terrible news. “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of 19-year-old first year student Matthew Mindler. Our thoughts are with his friends and family during this difficult time, ”he wrote.
The young man had been wanted “since Thursday”, after never having returned to his room, without giving any news to his relatives. He was found dead, not far from the campus. His body “was taken to the forensic center for further investigation,” the statement read. The causes of Matthew Mindler’s death have not been disclosed.
“This is a moment of mourning for his family, our campus and the entire community. I ask that our students support each other during this time, ”wrote Daniel Wubah.
As a child, he had been seen in several episodes of the American series “As the World Turns” and “Frequency”.
