The former chairwoman of the GERB General Assembly, Dr. Daniela Daritkova, announced from her Facebook account that she is withdrawing from the upcoming elections as a candidate for MP.
“I have always stated that I am not a professional politician and at some point I will return to my life choice – medicine. In the complex political situation and epidemic situation, my medical skills will be more useful to people,” said Dr. Daritkova.
In her text on the social network, she does not specify whether such a step means withdrawal from politics.
“Driven by the conviction that politics should cure sick social problems, I believe that the time has come to withdraw from the upcoming elections as a candidate for MP,” wrote Dr. Daniela Daritkova.
GERB’s list in the 22nd Smolyan constituency is headed by Dr. Krassimir Sabev, as announced by the party’s national leadership.
