Former British Interior Minister Launches Violent Attack on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak

British Interior Minister Suella Braverman, who was dismissed from her position, launched a violent attack on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Tuesday, accusing him of betraying her and the country.

Braverman remained silent yesterday, Monday, after her dismissal, but she sent a message to Sunak on Tuesday that may serve as the beginning of a campaign to oust him if, as opinion polls predict, the Conservative Party loses the elections scheduled for next year.

Braverman accused Sunak of breaking a promise to do “whatever it takes” to stop boating and illegal migration, on the eve of a High Court ruling on whether the government can go ahead with its plan to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda.

She also said that Sunak had not fulfilled a series of promises he made to her to work under him as Prime Minister.

Braverman said in the message that she posted on the social media platform Pointing to Conservative defeats in local votes under his leadership.

A spokesman for Sunak’s office responded by saying: “The Prime Minister believes in actions, not words.”

Sunak fired Braverman yesterday, Monday, after she published a newspaper article without permission accusing the police of double standards in pro-Palestinian protests.

Braverman also criticized Sunak’s handling of pro-Palestinian protests, saying she took pains to make arguments for banning marches while his response was “vague, weak and lacks the leadership qualities this country needs.”
