Washington: The former official who pointed out the defect in the construction of the giant ‘Boeing’ in the field of aircraft manufacturing was found dead. The body of 62-year-old John Barnett was found yesterday in Charleston County, USA. There is also a self-inflicted wound on the body.

Barnett, who worked for Boeing for more than 30 years, retired in 2017 due to health issues. Barnett revealed in 2019 that while the lawsuits against Boeing are pending, workers are being overworked and substandard parts are being used in manufacturing. The flaw in the oxygen system of the planes was also exposed. In emergencies, three-fourths of the oxygen masks on board do not work. It was also alleged that even though these matters were reported to the management, no action was taken.

Last January, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max-9 was grounded after an emergency door opened mid-flight. After the incident, about 173 Boeing aircraft were in service for safety checks in the US. The Federal Aviation Administration has temporarily suspended After this accident, other incidents caused concern. The FAA’s safety inspections found dozens of problems with the 737 Max. Barnett died in the meantime.

Boeing’s 737 Max planes are at the forefront of obsolescence. In 2018, 737 Max planes of Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines crashed in 2019, killing more than 350 people. With this, the concern about the safety of Boeing aircraft has become stronger.
