The 37-year-old died in Calabria in Soveria Mannelli on May 5th. She was with some friends. The investigation was born from the complaint of the parents
The case of the death of Monica Sirianni, the former Big Brother contestant who disappeared on May 5 at the age of 37, is tinged with yellow. The young woman had fallen ill while she was with friends in Soveria Mannelli, in the province of Catanzaro. And she had arrived already lifeless in the hospital. The prosecutor’s office has now opened an investigation, after a complaint presented by the victim’s parents, and has already ordered the autopsy (the results of which are now awaited). According to the first hypotheses, Sirianni, on the evening of her death, would have consumed a considerable amount of alcohol.
Monica Sirianni, had been a contestant on Big Brother in 2011, when she was 25 years old: born in Sydney to Calabrian parents who emigrated to Australia, she had returned to Italy for a few years and lived in a city in Lombardy. Her death occurred in Soveria Mannelli, a center in the province of Catanzaro where she had been for a few days and where her parents were originally from.
The investigations were delegated to the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Soveria Mannelli. Monica Sirianni was an English teacher and, after participating in Big Brother, she had left the world of entertainment and television.
