Norberto Murara (33), known as Neto, was overshadowed by Marc-Andre ter Stegen at FC Barcelona. In 2022 he left the Catalans and joined AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League. The keeper is now extending his contract.
The Cherries have the former Brazil international (one appearance) as their first-choice keeper. When he missed six games through injury last autumn, Bournemouth took just three points.
Things have gotten better since the 33-year-old returned to the pitch, but Bournemouth, second to bottom in the table, are still at risk of relegation. However, the gap to the saving bank is only one point.
Bournemouth hope to remain in the league and rely on Neto in the long term. “We’re going to give 100 per cent now to make sure we stay in the Premier League and always do our best,” said the goalkeeper, who will remain loyal to the Cherries.

The South American extends his expiring contract by three years: “I’m really happy. I want to thank the fans for welcoming me. It was incredible,” said the keeper.
