Former ATR/BPN Ferry minister Mursyidan Baldan dies

Former Minister of Agricultural Affairs and Spatial Planning Mursyidan Baldan Ferry 2014-2017 passed away today, Friday (2/12).

The news was confirmed by the deputy secretary general of the NasDem, Hermawi Taslim.

“Yes, that’s right. He’s a good person,” he told CNNIndonesia.com on Friday (2/12).

NasDem politician M. Farhan also confirmed the news.

“We’re still waiting for word of the body to get to the funeral home to be sure,” he said.

Ferry was a former minister of agricultural affairs and spatial planning during 2014-2017 or in the early term of President Joko Widodo’s administration.

Ferry was born in Jakarta on June 16, 1961 or 61 years ago. Ferry is an alumnus of Padjadjaran University and is active in the Islamic Student Association (HMI).

In his political career, he has been a picture of Golkar and NasDem.

During the 1997 elections, Ferry became a DPR member of the Golkar faction. He regained a seat in the DPR during elections from 1999 to 2004.

Then, in the 2019 presidential election, Ferry joined the national campaign team Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno.
