Lukoki was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and came to the Netherlands as a baby because of the war in the country. He took his first steps on the football field at VVA/Spartaan and VV Young Boys before being admitted to Ajax’s youth academy.

On January 19, 2011, Lukoki made his debut in the first team of Ajax under Frank de Boer. He did that as a substitute in De Classic against Feyenoord. His debut will be remembered mainly because he gave a panna on the back line to a Tim de Cler. Lukoki later apologized for the action.

Lukoki played a total of 35 official matches for Ajax, but it did not come to a real breakthrough. In the 2013/14 season he was loaned out to SC Cambuur. He then continued his career at PEC Zwolle and a year later made the switch to the Bulgarian Ludogorets for a million euros.

Lukoki played four matches in the Champions League for Ludogorets. After winning four national titles, the attacker left Bulgaria, after which the Turkish Yeni Malatyaspor picked him up. Lukoki came to Twente last summer. In the preparation he suffered a serious injury, as a result of which he never played a game for the club from Enschede. His contract was terminated three months ago after he was convicted of domestic violence.
