The former African Exarch Metropolitan Leonid (Gorbachev), whom the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church sent to retire, was summoned to court, the hierarch said in his tg-channels.

He stated that he recently wrote about the violation of his rights, and soon received a summons to the Supreme Church Court with the wording “for church offenses identified during the transfer of cases during the dismissal of the rector of the Church of All Saints in Kulishki.”

The bishop called the summons “a disgrace.” He assured that he had not committed any violations.

“They will “judge” me because one person decided so. For a long time now, everything has been decided by one person,” the Metropolitan complained.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in September 2023, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church removed the exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa from the post of rector of the temple in Moscow, and in December the Synod decided to retire him.

Let us recall that, according to Metropolitan Leonid, as the Russian Orthodox Church conquers Ukraine, it will take away the dioceses of the UOC.
