Former Acrobatic Skier Maxim Gustik dies in Tragic Accident in Minsk

MINSK – The world of skiing has been hit by a huge tragedy. Former acrobatic skier Maxim Gustik died at the age of 35. In his native Minsk, he was the victim of an accident during which he was hit by a car and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

During his career, Gustik ranked among the leading skiers. In the World Cup, he made 74 starts in which he stood on the podium 9 times. He also achieved great success at the World Championships in 2015, where he won a bronze medal.

However, during yesterday’s day, the sports world learned a very sad news. Gustik was hit by a car in his native Minsk and, despite the efforts of rescuers, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The official website also reported on this tragedy International Ski Associationwhich referred to the report of the local Ministry of Sports and Tourism.

“The International Ski Federation expresses deep regret for this loss. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
