Former Abercrombie CEO pleads not guilty to sex trafficking charges – Telemundo New York (47)

Former Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries, 80, pleaded not guilty in a Long Island court Friday afternoon.

His attorney Brian Bieber spoke on his behalf, saying, “We plead not guilty, your honor.”

As part of the guilty plea to one count of sex trafficking and fifteen counts of interstate prostitution, Jeffries must reside in New York City, Long Island or the Southern District of Florida, where he has a home.

He remains free on $10 million bail secured by the Fisherman’s Island property with his ex-wife Susan.

She and Jeffries’ son, Andrew, spoke at the podium inside the federal courthouse and said they will answer for the settlement, and Andrew said he works in the hotel business and make $250,000 a year.

Jeffries must also surrender his passport and have no contact with the other defendants. When Jeffries entered the courtroom, he did not confess or say anything to his co-defendant James Jacobson, who was in the front row of the stand awaiting the verdict, and he rubs his head in distress.

The next hearing will be on December 12 at 10:30 am.

Jeffries was arrested Tuesday morning in West Palm Beach and charged with sex trafficking along with his longtime partner, Matthew Smith, and his employee James Jacobson.

Prosecutors allege that Jeffries and his associates used his money and status to get models who wanted to have sex with him and his partner.

Sex parties have been held around the world in England, France, Italy, Morocco and the Hamptons.
