But Potter reminded his team that they were confident even ahead of their final game against the Red Devils in February.

Then a Ronaldo-inspired 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford ended their seven-game unbeaten streak and kicked off a six-game losing streak.

Potter is right to fear Ronaldo as SunSport can reveal he has scored nearly a THIRD of United’s Premier League goals this season.

The Portuguese has 18, which is 32 percent of the Red Devils’ shots.

Only Teemu Pukki, with 45 per cent of Norwich’s goals this season, has a higher tally of his team’s goals.
