A fifty-year-old song was discovered in an attic in Birmingham, England, which was once recorded by Beatle George Harrison, who died in 2001, and his bandmate Ringo Starr (81). The track titled ‘Radge Shaam’ was written by journalist Suresh Joshi. He introduced The Beatles to Indian yoga guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who died in 2008.

The English band was inspired by the guru in the late 1960s and even traveled to India for lessons in the so-called transcendental meditation. The recording, featuring Harrison on guitar and Starr on drums, was released Wednesday. The proceeds from the sale of the piece will go to charity, the Beatles Museum in Liverpool announced.

“The song is about the concept that we are all one and that the world is an oyster – something that has become clear to all of us during the pandemic,” the song’s writer said. According to him, the old number could therefore not be more current.
