Jochemsen is putting together a concert by the Metropole Orkest under the title ‘Toon!’. “This song has been completely forgotten and is therefore a true discovery. Nobody knows it, not even the greatest Toon Hermans connoisseurs,” he says.
Jochemsen also found the original arrangement by composer Rogier van Otterloo on paper.
“The sun is out” will soon be performed by the Dutch Metropole Orchestra and singer and comedian Remko Vrijdag. This will happen during a tour of the orchestra, which will start in Sittard, Toon Hermans’ birthplace.
